The products
What am I actually looking at?
The classic 1990s airbrushed "wolf howling at the moon" nature tee — faithfully recreated, except the animal howling at the moon is a corgi. Or a capybara. Or whichever animal you're holding. Every design is original artwork made for this store, printed on demand.
What are the shirts like?
Heavyweight, garment-dyed 100% cotton (Comfort Colors), in a washed pepper colour with a relaxed, slightly boxy fit. Garment-dyeing is what gives them that soft, broken-in, slightly faded look straight out of the bag — no two are perfectly identical, and that's the point.
How does the sizing run?
True to size. If you want the classic roomy nature-tee fit, order one size larger than you usually do. If you prefer a standard or slimmer fit, go one size down.
How do I wash it?
Garment-dyed cotton keeps its character if you treat it gently:
- Machine wash cold (max 30 °C), inside out, with similar colours
- Wash it separately the first time or two — garment-dyed fabric can release a little pigment in early washes
- Mild detergent, no bleach
- Air dry if you can; tumble dry low if you can't
- Iron inside out on low if needed; never iron the print directly
The colour will soften slightly over many washes. That's not a defect — it's the sun-bleached look this whole genre is built on.
Orders & shipping
How long does my order take?
Everything is printed when you order it — nothing sits in a warehouse. Production typically takes 2–7 business days, then shipping time on top depending on where you are. You'll get a confirmation when you order and tracking when it ships.
Why did my order arrive in separate packages?
Different products are made by different print partners — a mug and a t-shirt may be printed in different facilities, sometimes in different countries. When that happens, each part of your order ships separately with its own tracking. You're never charged extra for the split.
Where is my order printed?
By print partners in a network across the US, Europe and elsewhere — orders are routed to a facility near you where possible, which keeps shipping times and miles down.
Do I pay customs or import fees?
Orders are usually printed in or near your region, so most customers never see a customs charge. If your order does cross a border, any import duties or taxes are set by your country and paid by the recipient — we have no control over them and can't predict the amount.
Problems
My order arrived damaged / misprinted / wrong
We'll fix it, free. Email hello@moonhowlers.store within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the problem, and we'll send a replacement or refund you — no need to post anything back. See the full returns policy for details.
I ordered the wrong size
Every item is made to order just for you — nothing exists until you order it — so we can't take back or exchange items for size or change of mind, and (for EU customers) the 14-day withdrawal right for distance sales doesn't apply to made-to-order products. Please check the size chart before ordering; the fit notes above are honest. If something's gone genuinely wrong, email us anyway — we're human about it. Defective or damaged items are always replaced free, everywhere.
My tracking hasn't moved
Tracking sometimes sleeps between the print facility and the carrier's first scan. If it hasn't updated for more than 5 business days, or your order hasn't arrived within the estimated window, email hello@moonhowlers.store and we'll chase it. Lost-in-transit orders get a free replacement.
