About the garment

This long sleeve starts life as a Comfort Colors 6014 blank: 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed before it's cut, so the colour already reads soft and lived-in. The fit is relaxed and unisex, finished with ribbed cuffs and a twill-taped neck and shoulders. Every shirt is printed one at a time, to order.

About the design

The capybara does not react. It is the largest rodent alive, and it spends that size doing less, not more. Ducklings ride its back. Birds groom between its ears. Caimans share its riverbank and it does not shift its weight. Underneath the calm it swims better than it walks, holding its breath for minutes and going under without a ripple.

Colonial priests supposedly classified it as a fish, so it could be eaten on Fridays during Lent. The capybara did not argue. Under a cold moon it howls anyway, exactly as straight-faced as anything that came before it. Composure, it turns out, is a decision you only have to make once.
