About the garment

This is Comfort Colors 1717 — 100% ring-spun cotton, garment-dyed, and printed one at a time. The dye lands soft from the first wear instead of stiff and new. The fit is relaxed and unisex, with a twill-taped neck and shoulders.

About the design

A narwhal has no vocal cords built for howling, and it doesn't seem bothered by that. What it has instead is a spiral tusk — up to nine feet of ivory, a tooth that pushes straight through the upper lip and keeps growing for life.

The tusk looks like a weapon. It's closer to an antenna, laced with nerve endings that read salinity and pressure in black water under the ice. They say Vikings sold the tusks to European royalty as unicorn horn, and no one asked too many questions. You can put this on a shirt. The narwhal was never trying to convince anybody.
