About the garment

This is the sweatshirt half of the set, built on Comfort Colors 1566 and garment-dyed to match its t-shirt. It's cut as a relaxed unisex crewneck, printed one at a time to order.

About the design

A panda does not need the moon's permission. It climbs, it sits, it eats the same fourteen hours of bamboo it ate yesterday, stalk by stalk by stalk, and nothing about that changes because the sky went dark. The body reads as soft: round, black-and-white, built for a plush toy. It is also built to snap bamboo like a hydraulic press, on a wrist that doesn't know the difference.

Old myth casts it as a peaceable monk of a beast, a creature the mountain spirits supposedly trusted to keep the forest calm. None of that explains why it's up on the ridge at night, throat back, howling like the wolf it replaced. Maybe it just finished eating. Maybe it doesn't owe you a reason. Wear the one animal that howls at the moon on its own schedule.
