About the design

A raccoon has no business looking this solemn. Those same paws that are painted mid-howl have been in your cooler, your gutter, your glovebox, and your trash can at 2 a.m. The mask looks like a disguise; the hands work like a lock pick, dexterous enough to open latches and jars that were supposedly raccoon-proof.

Algonquin trickster tales cast it as a thief who talks his way out of anything he's stolen, supposedly clever enough to outwit foxes twice his size. Painted here under a cold moon, dead serious, it's the closest thing to remorse this animal has ever shown. Wear it like you've got nothing left to confess.
