About the garment

This is a Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed for a soft, lived-in colour from the first wear. It's cut in a relaxed unisex fit with a twill-taped neck and shoulders, and printed one at a time, to order, on 6.1 oz ring-spun cotton.

About the design

A tapir looks like a rough draft — pig's body, elephant's nose, no clear plan. It has never once tried to fix that.

That nose is a snorkel, a hand, a hose: it plucks fruit, peels bark, and breathes underwater while the rest of it disappears into the current. Short legs, long dives — it walks riverbeds like the surface was never the point. Amazonian legend says the tapir was assembled from the parts other animals didn't want, and still ended up hardest to kill. Under a cold moon, still howling. Nothing left to prove.
