About the design
A weasel does not howl for company. It howls because something is dead and it intends to finish it. This is a hunter built like an afterthought: a rope of muscle, a skull it can fold flat, teeth meant for the back of the neck. It looks soft. It is not soft. It kills things twice its size and eats like it's owed the meal.
Folklore says weasels can slip between worlds unseen, that farmers once left them offerings so their milk wouldn't curdle out of spite. Under this moon, in this cold light, it howls like it's owed something bigger than a barn. Nothing wasted, nothing spared. That's the whole animal, right there.
